Gold Medal Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah and Rolle Vintage, Dry Rosé
When you only need one good reason to try a new wine… Rosé that encapsulates the terroir, romance, and classic French flavours (with an exotic twist). That is more than one reason. Nevertheless, this vintage is a must-try as it is a little different to prior releases. The Jules Rosé of 2020 is amongst the best of the best in France and around the world. It was awarded gold at Mundus Vini (The Grand International Wine Award).

Jules Winery, Provence – Over 3 Decades of Wine Excellence
The Jules winery was established in France in 1989. It is located in the heart of Provence in south-eastern France.
Julian Faulkner, son of Jane and Hugh took over his parent’s winery around 20 years ago. Julian’s ambitions to create a fine Rosé have been realised time and time again. Not only are his Rose’s award-winning, but they are also distinctive and often offer something different to the usual Provencal style(*1).
Eternally Romantic – Provence, France
Wine from the region of Provence in France is often found to exhibit a bouquet of flavours. This is in part thanks to Italy which borders Provence’s eastern border, and the Mediterranean Sea which hugs the southern coastline. Provence is eternally romantic. Ripe vineyards, grassy orchards, mauve fields of lavender, and quaint villages are dotted throughout the historic lands(*2).
Furthermore, making Rose is a way of life in Provence, and has been for thousands of years(*3). It is by far the region’s most famous wine type and is loved by the French and people around the world. 60 million bottles of Rose were exported from Provence to the world in 2020!(*3)
2020 Vintage Jules Rose France Tasting Notes and Review
A Good Starting Point and a Perfect Finish
If you are just starting your journey into French Rose’s, this is a really good wine to start with(*4). It is also a steal with bottles starting at only $15.99. This Rosé is a great wine for all occasions and of course, to enjoy on its own as an afternoon treat(*4,5). The 2020 Rose is a little more fruit-forward than prior Rose’s from Jules thanks to heavy rainfall and a hot summer before harvest(*5,6).
• Blend: Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah, Rolle(*6).
• Aroma: Notes of juice and zest, red berries, strawberries, and cream.
• Palate: Full in the mouth with divine flavours coming through.
• Finish: A complex finish, which is clean and dry, and highly moreish.
Next time you are in our store or shopping online, we definitely recommend this French Rosé!
