2017 Stefano Lubiana Brut Rose Tasmania – Stefano Lubiana Wines exude Tasmania in its purest form – from its soil to your family table. The resulting wines are world class quality, to be enjoyed with hearty food and good company.
The first vintage of the Brut Rose was in 2010, with the 2017 now being the 7th iteration of this wine. This Brut Rose has always been 100% Pinot Noir and the 2017 vintage is no exception. The Rose then spends 6 years on lees promoting complexity and texture before being riddled, disgorged, and pack.
This method traditional sparkling wine is undeniably 100% Pinot Noir and has a fine bead and good complexity and flavour. Pale rose in colour the wine has a generous bouquet of quince, dried strawberry, apricot and red apple skin. The time on lees provides a delicate hint of mature notes of toasted brioche, roasted pistachio and caramelised almond pastry. The palate has mouth watering acidity, supple tannins, and superb layering of fruit fea- turing morello cherry, poached quince, strawberry and apricot. The balance of the finish is long and dry with a supple mousse, the wine is complex and will keep you coming back for more.
