2024 Scarborough Offshoot Vermentino Hunter Valley – From a young age, Winemaker Jerome Scarborough, knew he’d be involved in the next generation of the business – pushing forward with an Offshoot from the first foundations. One of those new inspirations is the Offshoot range, featuring a Vermentino, Verdelho, Chardonnay, Off-Dry Semillon, Rosé and Tempranillo Joven. These wines spring from Jerome’s experimentations with exciting varieties – fresh growth off the original plant, promising thrilling flavours while staying true to the original Scarborough story.
Aromas of honeysuckle, lemon curd, orange blossom and a hint of metling wax. The palate has flavours of mandarin and apples with a touch of raw almonds. Finishing with a logn crisp acid, grapefruit and lemon butter rounding out the wine.
Drink now and over the next few years. Pair with crisp polenta chips, whtie bean puree and gremolata.
